My point was more to explain that while Ukraine's procurement of Patriot is a win, the system itself has limitations. And to that end, Russia's strategic response could mimic that of China's; simply build/purchase more ARMs.
Should the conflict go in that direction, I assume this "freeze" of operations we have seen will persist.
Cheap anti-air defense systems are becoming the core of modernizing forces. It'll be interesting to see what happens.
I think all that highlights a point I also might not have been so clear on: Patriot for Ukraine is good, but it isn't the defining, war-ending factor (at least at this scale) that the media seem to be hyping it as.
