The differences reflect heavily and are present in writing I have done, but have not published.

What I was attempting to get at here was to urge the west to find a way to transparently show Russia it is willing to work with it.

For example, Putin has often sighted verbal agreements Russia had in regards to NATO expanding east, but it was never a formalized treaty to my knowledge.

I'd also add that my piece here is not necessarily a solution, because I 100% agree Russia operates under political realism and rejects Western norms. That being said, my piece here is to shed light on the fact that while the war is one major event, the diplomatic endeavor will be another one entierly.

How do you think the West can deal with Russia moving forward? At least in a substantive way that avoids a Ukraine Crisis 2.0?
